New Wig, new girl, new home

Greeting ya'll,

I thought it was time to make something new since I haven't had much time in a while AND its a long weekend! As we all remember, Tai just went to Blacky's for her tan and now she wanted a new hair style to compliment her new look. I asked her to pick one and she choose this:

I took one look and said to her "I accept the challenge!"

After a couple of hours fitting her with a new wig base, curling the hair and gluing on the extensions  without further adieu, here is Tai!

Well in other news, I've purchased an other of my dream girls! Remember my christmas list? Well its coming home to roost as I've got my hands on a Vmf50 Yumi! She was shipped Saturday and I can't wait to see her. I plan to call her Mo short for Motoko and have her refaced but first things first I must see her in person to see if the name fits. We all know what happened with Shiera as I thought she'd be a Raven. Well here's a picture to refresh the memory of sweet lil' Yumi:

I plan to make her a purple or black wig and red eyes. Something along the lines of Motoko in this photo:

Not sure if I want to go with this neural look or have her eyebrows a bit angry. Well time will tell and she should be here within 5-7 days.

My last bit of news is that I finally have a display case all to my girls! I have dubbed it "Bludhaven Towers" and they live on the top shelf with I call "The pen house".. Lol yes I know pretty nerdy but I think its sweet and I'm glad they have somewhere face to rest their little heads from my little wretched cat Yoruichi.

March Dollfie Dream meet

Hey guys,

Surprisingly I was able to go to a dollfie dream meet today at Cafe Princess. Sadly I haven't been able to go to much meets due to work but since my new job allows me weekends off I'm finally free! Tai was happy to see her old friends and wore a new tee-shirt I made for her inspired by one of her favourite brand Baby Shoop. Here are some photos for Tai and friends at the meet.

Doll Dying Adventure 2! Vinyl Dying

Hey guys,

So I finally have some good news.. and some bad news! The good news is that I had some spare change so I ordered the eyes that I envisioned for my girls. They have arrived and I've taken a few photos. Overall I love all of the colours, Shiera and Tai's eyes really suit them but I think I would have liked Reily's eyes to be brighter. Regardless I'm glad she can get out of those terrible pale and lifeless eyes.

Secondly I finally dyed Tai! She is permanently rit dyed a orange-brown and ohh boy was it an adventure! I suffered some burnt hands and dyed nails but I feel it was worth it. The bad news is that I accident broken parts from her armature in both arms soo she's temporarily an amputee, a very cute amputee <3

I'll definitely order her a new set in the future but until then I found a temporary way to keep her arms attached and so far its working out. A lesson well learned but at least I know now that the ball joints WILL dye and are not difficult to take. The only problems I encountered were some parts of the ball joints dyed faster then others so it took some effort to match the colours. An important rule while dying vinyl is to always keep the piece moving in the pot so it can get coated evenly and doesn't get burnt on the bottom.
